Walls could be constructed from brick, stone or concrete and the prime aspect to bear in mind is their appropriateness and compatibility while using local scene. They may be long lasting but expensive to build and in order to retain privacy have to be about 2m higher than average. Inside the front garden keep in mind that there may well be a nearby authority constraint on the height of walls, often 1 m (3-1/4 ft), so if you are thinking of building one it will be wise to check first.
